list mode: filtering by catagory

Is there a code I can add to my list mode code that will allow me to show only a specific catagory?

eg: $catagory ="london"

want to be able to show locatation/catagory based events on their specific pages..

Yes. See the documentation about Command-Line Variables, more specifically, the $showCat variable.

yay on to making super site i'll show all when i've finished

Right so $showCat="London"; should bring up my london catagory... does this work for selections under my main catagory too?

No, you should not use the name of the category. Read the instructions for showCat for the proper usage. There should be only numbers and | symbols.
