For this, you'd want to have a look at the showCalendar.php file and confirm that your urlPath is correct...

It should be a relative path, relative to the root of the web.

ex: if your escal install is in http://www.foo.com/escal/ the $urlPath should be equal to "/escal/"

if it's http://www.foo.com/bar/escal/ your $urlPath will be "/bar/escal/".

hope this helps.

Well, in version 4 there does not seem to be a ShowCalendar.php file...

The variables are set in 'escal.php' for version 4.x.

Look for:
// SERVER PATH TO ESCAL FOLDER
$serverPath="";

// URL PATH TO ESCAL FOLDER
$urlPath="";

the server path must be fully qualified (ie, http://www.myhost.com/www/escal/)

the url path is the relative path to the calendar (ie, /escal/)

Hmmm that must be me, I can't find it in the file you specify, or any other file for that matter.

The demo works with the events I setup in the DB, but not the actual calendar on the site.

Hmmm! Sounds like you are calling the calendar from a location other than in the calendar directory. Try using an iframe with the calendar file located in the calendar directory.

This is a good reason to switch to version 5.x!

Acutally, for Version 4, all of the files from the zip file should be in the same directory as the page from which it is being called. You would get the 404 error if the calendar files were in another directory because the script wouldn't be able to find the pop-up code. [Version 5 is different in this aspect]

Finally got it to work. Put the calendar on my page within an iframe and included link to css file in escal.php.

Thanks a lot!

Default The same problem

I have exactly the same problem as Silentvoid. Everything is working great. The popup works when you test it during adding events but on the actual calender on the website you get a 404 error.

Maybe somebody knows a solution. Silentvoid, maybe you can help me out. I rather not use iframes so hopefully another solution comes up.

I'll just quote what Brian had already said about version 4.

So lets say you're using the calendar from a file on your server at location www.foo.com/bar/test.php all of the files in the zip file have to be extracted at www.foo.com/bar/

If you'd have version 5, it would be able to detect where it was installed and insert the path required all by itself.

My mistake

You are absolutely right. I had made a subfolder to organise things.

Thanks for your quick reply!!
