Default Warning: Unterminated comment

I just downloaded the free trial, uploaded it to my server, and changed the permissions. Now when I try to run escal/setup/index.php in IE6.0 I get the following:

Warning: Unterminated comment starting line 3 in /home/hsphere/local/home/okchoral/okchorale.org/members/escal/setup/index.php on line 3

I uploaded the setup folder in binary mode. I've checked the code and the line 3 comment is properly terminated. What's causing that warning and what should I do about it?

Thanks!

What I could find is that the file may have been corrupted when it was uploaded. Can you delete the files and try uploading again?

Thanks for the fast reply. I deleted and then uploaded the files again, then changed the permissions of the two files.

Now when I go to setup, I get "Zend Optimizer not installed." But when I did the test prior to downloading the trial, the Zend test showed Zend in the window. And phpinfo.php on my server says "This program makes use of the Zend Scripting Language Engine...", so I assume Zend is installed and configured on my server.

I was going to try downloading the ionCube version, but I can't find where to download it.

What now?

Are you running the latest version of Zend?

I checked the forum at my hosting service and discovered that they no longer support Zend because it has caused serious problems with some sites. So I found the link to ionCube in the automated e-mail message and installed that version. It works great!

The only problem I'm having now is that I can't figure out how to get the list of all events to display under the calendar.

Thanks for the great support!

That's called the Listings Module. There should be instructions on how to use this and an example in the demo.php file.
