Default "There was no title entered..."

I'm using ESC 5.7, not the trial version. I modified events/index.php changing the Title textbox to a textarea with rows=3 and cols=38. I also changed the textarea for the Description so cols=38. I did this for the add recurring, add floating, add single, edit single, edit recurring, and edit floating tables.

After making those changes, I can add single events okay but when I edit an existing single event, I get an alert box that says, "There was no title entered...". When I change the textarea back to a textbox using the input element from the original index.php file, I still get the same error.

Because of the HTML we need to include in our titles, we need the title element to be a textarea instead of a textbox. Does anyone have any ideas of what could be causing the problem or what to do to fix it?

The only thing I can think that would cause this is that the name for the title field was changed? It should be named title.

Brian, your hunch appears to be correct. Apparently Dreamweaver automatically changed the values of some of the name attributes to "title2" and "title3". When I changed them back to "title," it worked okay.

Thanks for the prompt reply!
