Default I'm Confused Installing Trial

Hi, I downloaded the trial and read one page saying to set permissions on config.inc.php, index.php and showCalendar.php. I did that and was able to go to the file the page said, mydomain.com/calendar/index.php. Got the set up panel but couldn't get past the license panel, nothing worked. Came back here and 'registered' to get trial and redownloaded, the included set up instructions were for files in folder called escal. Did that and now I get .../setup/index.php is corrupt. Maybe I am not uploading correctly and have to show my stupidity, is binary mode 'raw data?' I use Fetch on a Mac and it has that option besides text and automatic plus some others but no plain binary, but MacBinary which is compressed.

Also, since I uploaded new files does that ionCube need something redone?
Thanks,
Rand

How long have you had this trial before installing it to your server?

I downloaded the trial and uploaded the same day. I couldn't get it to run so had someone install the ionCube stuff a couple of days later and then got to the panel asking for a license and couldn't get past it. Then came back and registered for a download trial and uploaded it the same day but didn't get it to work, just a 'corrupt' file message. That was the day I first posted here.

I think you may have an older trial as the new trial doesn't require registration to download or install. You can download the latest trial from the Free Download page. If you'd like, send me a PM with your FTP information and I'll upload the scripts to your server.
