Default Error Following 6.07 Installation

Brian,
Following the upgrade/installation of 6.07 from 6.05 the following error occurred when trying to execute the Setup Page.

Warning: main(../languages/.inc.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /something/something/public_html/calendar/setup/index.php on line 39

Warning: main(../languages/.inc.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /something/something/public_html/calendar/setup/index.php on line 39

Fatal error: main(): Failed opening required '../languages/.inc.php' (include_path='.:/usr/local/phpcgi/lib/php') in /something/something/public_html/calendar/setup/index.php on line 39

Upgrade/installation was carried out I.A.W.

Upgrading to Version 6.07 from Version 6.0 - 6.06
  • Upload the files in the events, functions, languages and setup directories to the server, overwriting the existing calendar files.
contained in instructions.htm, although not actually stated in the Upgrade Instructions the files contained in folders events, functions and setup were uploaded in binary and the language folder in ASCII using CuteFTP. This installation was then carried out again just to ensure it was done correctly with the same resulting error. Any advice.

You'll need to manually edit the config.inc.php file and change $eventLang=""; to $eventLang="English";

Please let me know if this helps.

Default 6.07 Installation

Brian

I am unable to find an entry containing $eventLang=""; in config.inc.php , at what point in the list should $eventLang="English"; be inserted.

I'll release an update that will fix this automatically for future upgrades.
