I'm not sure I completely understand. Can you give me an example so I can reproduce this here?

OK

add a new category and select a new colour for it

all appears ok

now go to add a new event and select the new category
the category appears on the drop down menu but the colour is white ie not the new colour

when you open your page there is no colour against the category for the event you just added

in other words the new or changed category doesnt seem to have a colour

I can't reproduce this issue.

However, because most browsers cache CSS files, I had to close all instances of the browser and restart before the new colors would display. This is the way browsers are designed and isn't specifically an issue with the calendar script.

thanks

i did a reinstall and it has fixed the problem
think it was something to do with the upgrade getting upset with previous categories that had not matched when upgrading

Question

I am sorry I don't quite understand how "Categories" work in the admin setup. Can someone please explain to me?

I see MAIN CATEGORY, CATEGORY, New Selection etc. and the colors under MAIN CATEGORY.

If I have 6 categories and I want them to be reflected using different colors, what must I do? How do I know what are the codes for the different colors?

Example:
Category 1 (Red color)
Category 2 (Blue color)
Category 3 (Pink color)
Category 4 (Green color)
Category 5 (Orange color)
Category 6 (Purple color)

Thanks in advance.

Only the selections of the main category can be assigned colors.

OK thanks. I played with the demo on this website and figured it out.

You might want to consider incorporating a color palette at that setup page for users to choose color from.
