Angry Calendar does whatever it wants, but not what its supposed to do!

Hi, Folks!

This one goes out directly to the developers of EasyPHPCalendar and is a support request and some - maybe hard - critics at the same time.

I've purchased the EasyPHPCalendar in March 2005, because the program seemed to offer the functions I needed, and the price was appropriate.

But now, after the website which the calendar was supposed to be used at, is all done and I am trying to use the calendar as its supposed, all I get are problems and bugs.

I would say, that I am a pretty patient person, but this is now too much.

My issues are the following:

1. If I try to delete an event, the calendar either does nothing, or it deletes the wrong one.

2. If i try to edit an event, the calendar either shows up a blank "New event" field, or it shows the wrong event. Especially if two events start at the same day.

3. After upgrading to version 6.2.11 the calendar does not allow to obtain a new licence key, because it says, that I am simply not allowed to obtain any new.

I am using the calendar with the HTMLArea WYSIWYG editor, and adding new events works fine with it. But there is, as already said, no possibility to edit or delete a once posted event.

All I can say, is that I am very unsatisfied with this program, and I am close to a point where I would ask to get my money back.

I have paid for this program, because I've expected a program which would do its duty. But right now, all it does is generating bugs and problems.

I am right now under a enourmous time pressure, because the project shall start in a few days, and I cannot afford any further delay.

I hope, somebody will find solutions for the problems I've reported.

Gee.

PS: The URL of the website I am talking about is either www.bhga.de or www.bad-homburg-geht-aus.de.

Both links generate a page that says:

Quote:
Server Path Error.
Please run the Setup Manager to correct this problem.

Well, thats right. I just saw that error, too. I suppose, this is also another consequence of the PHP Calendar update, because all settings of the CMS are correct.

So - another bug. The calendar crashes the whole page!

EDIT: Just checked the CMS settings once again, they're all right. It IS the PHP Calendar, which crashes the page, due to the fact, that I haven't set up database and other settings in the setup, because I wasn't able to, due to the fact, that the calendar does not allow to purchase a new license.

Allright, Brian. Done everything, like you told me to. Waiting for further instructions.

jabi: I've used WebSiteBaker 2.5.2. Have a look at www.websitebaker.org. If you have questions on how to implement the calendar into a CMS generated page, just ask.

Greetz, Gee.

Hi Gee,

Just went to check up on your site and was pleased to see how nicely your calendar works now. Good job! vbmenu_register("postmenu_9814", true);

Yes, everything is allright now. Although I must admit, that I was - lets say - pretty ****ed, when all those bugs came up. But now it seems, that everything works fine. Thats good, cause now we can start next monday with the page.

Thanks again. Greetz, Gee.
