Default TinyMCE adds a question mark to my desc when I have an image

When I put an image into my description TinyMCE adds a question mark at the end of the description! Unfortunately it is not a place where a question mark would be appropriate. Anyone have a solution or explanation for this? Thanks in advance.

Does it do this if you use the online demonstration on this web site?

No, it doesn't happend with the online demo. Look at Nov. 24 (Thanksgiving).

Not sure why that would happen on your end... Did you try their support?

Their support forum is closed.

I looked in my db to see what was entered and it looks good:

Code:

OSU office is closed for <span style="color:#996600"><strong>Thanksgiving</strong></span> holiday.<br /> <img src="http://www.cybergifs.com/thanks/thanks2.gif" />
which translates to

Code:
OSU office is closed for <span style="color:#996600"><strong>Thanksgiving</strong></span> holiday.<br /> <img src="http://www.cybergifs.com/thanks/thanks2.gif" />
So I don't think it's a TinyMCE issue. The question mark only appears in the description in the list section, not on the popup.

Can you provide a link to your page?

Unfortunately there's no link to give you because it's on an Intranet and not accessible from the outside.

However, I just clicked on "view source" for the page, copied the page's entire source code and placed it in my editor and looked at it. The question mark is not there!

Then I viewed it in a browser -- from the editor I had pasted it into -- and it doesn't show up there either.

How peculiar! It's not a mirage because on my site's page I did a text search for a question mark and it finds it.
