Default Can't get past setup screen

http://lacdcs.moonlink.net/calendar/setup/index.php
Why can't I get past this:
Thank you for using the EasyPHPCalendar!
Please run the Setup Manager to configure the EasyPHPCalendar script.
If you experience any issues or script errors, please consult the Help section of the Instructions.

DON'T GIVE UP! Installation of encoded files can be tough. If you haven't already, try the Auto-installer.

I looked at the instructions for ionCube installation but still don't have a clue. I looked at the permissions and they are already set to 646 and I manually renamed NEWcaldat.php to caldat.php since I plan to use the flat file option.

I deleted everything from server and my computer and started over and that didn't make any difference either. Oh, it's a Linux I think, though that may be Unix, I get them mixed up. Not Windows in any case.

What now?

You have some corruption in the files that were uploaded to the server. Did you try using the auto-installer?

If you'd like for me to upload the files for you, please open a support ticket.

You got *something* done, as http://lacdcs.moonlink.net/calendar/setup/index.php now comes up with the EasyPHPCalendar logo, though nothing else. I replied to your email about the "illegal port" command, that my ftp wasn't working this am either. However, it is working now, so you should be able to complete fixing whatever is corrupted.

I haven't done anything yet. I'll look at this later when I get back to my production server.

Should be good to go now. It was a file that was corrupted when it was either uploaded or unzipped.
