Default Changing list mode format

I would like to get list mode so that it displays with each event under a single header for that day.

eg.

Quote:
25th December

9am Wake Up

10am Open Presents

1pm Eat Christmas Dinner
rather than the way it works at the moment where you get

Quote:
25th December - 9am
Wake Up

25th December - 10am
Open Presents

25th December - 1pm
Eat Christmas Dinner
I can edit the templates OK and rearrange the events how I want but I just want a single row at the top of all the events for a particular day with the date.

Have you tried using the Blog Mode? It may work better for your needs.

Yes I have looked at the Blog mode and that is the format that I want but with multiple dates on one single page.

Is that possible?

This is how I have set up list mode

http://leasidechurch.org.uk/diary/worship.php

What I want is more like this with all events listed under the date as a header.

I had another look at blog mode - is there any way to make blog mode display a specific date without using the ?ev=123456 syntax in the URL?

for example I was thinking I could use

$ev = 123456;

but this doesn't appear to work either

Currently, I don't believe there is a way to do exactly what you are asking. You may want to add a post in the Feature Requests forum for inclusion of this ability in a future release.

Thanks for the prompt reply.

I will have a rethink and see if I can find a compromise

Unfortunately I didn't quite manage to do what I wanted

If you looked at my demo page above - I made that just so that I could show what I wanted - It doesn't actually use the calendar database at all.

What I have ended up with is the following:

http://leasidechurch.org.uk/worship.php

It is not quite what I wanted but it will do.

That is not even using the calendar at all. It was a mockup that jez_p created showing what was the end goal.

It is not currently possible using the standard code. You have to use custom created code 'exploiting' the blog mode. I have developed that code, and could sell it to you, but I won't be available for that until the weekend.

If you're interested, use the link in my signature and we can work out the details.
