Question Installing on test site, then moving to another domain (which is MS hosted now)

Forgive me for the hastiness that I am about to express. I am tyring to finish up a site for a company that now wants a user managed calendar on their site. Your product is a good fit, out of the box, and should save me plenty of time and save them money.

My question: Can I, install the calendar on their test site (on my server) and populate it with info and then migrate it to their site upon completion (which is MS,etc. - but it being changed to Linus, PHP,etc.)?

If their is something I have missed in my hastiness in the faqs or forums I do apologize, I just want to make sure before I purchase.

Also, will I have to remove the names across the app if I purchase the license that allows me to remove your names?

Thanks so much.

You can move the installation at a later date. You will be presented with a form to request a license key transfer after moving the files.

The names will be automatically removed depending on the license purchased. The only think you may want to change is the Setup and Event Managers header image.

Thanks Brian. I am going to get the script today, populate it over the next few days and the switch would take place at the end of this week! They really are moving way to fast on this, but, I have to move with them.

How long will the request for change take to process?

Thanks again. This is going to be very helpful.

Depends on the time of day the transfer was requested. (I'm the only one that can do this). Generally within a couple of hours, sometimes in just a few minutes...

Great! I just purchased the license, and I am going to begin setting it up. I will do the request early on a day late this week.

You have been VERY helpful.

Thanks.

Default Request domain change

The calendar has been great. Very easy to customize and fit within our design. Thanks again for all your help.

They went ahead and requested the server change this morning for their site, so I am going to begin uploading all the files and testing. It will take about 2 days before we switch off of working with an IP and the domain name starts picking up the files.

Should I request a license switch then? I figured it would probably need to be once the domain name was active? Might cause a little down time with the calendar, but, I can work it out to replace it with some text until it's ready.

Just let me know what you need me to do to request the license domain change.

Thanks.

Once the transfer is complete, when you try to license the calendar on the new domain, it will prompt you to request a new key.

Thanks! You have been very helpful. The calendar is working fine and the new license key for the new domain is working. This calendar fits what they needed perfectly. For now, they simply use it to post their hours of operation, but eventually, they will use it to manage all of their different scheduling for the different themes at this theme attraction.

Once again, thanks for being so responsive. I will definitely consider this product for licensing with future projects that need managed calendars.

Brian,

We have moved the calendar to the new domain, but I have not gotten a request for a new license. Where and when does this happen?

Am I supposed to login and reset the license?

Thanks,

Suzanne

If you're not getting the Licence Key Error above your calendar, then you do not need to reset your licence.
