Question Manual Upgrade - Still Current Version

Hello,

I did not want to overwrite any template files, so I followed the instructions for a manual upgrade. I am using WS_FTP Professional (which allows for Binary/ASCII transfer mode options), and have upgraded the individual files and overwritten them as instructed with the correct transfer mode. My Setup Manager, however, still says that the current version is not up to date.

Need help.

Thanks!

Another error I am receiving:

This is located in the Setup Manager: Paths Error! Paths in the calendar.php file need to be updated but the file is not writable.

When I try to view the calendar through our website, this is the page I am receiving: Server Path Error.
Please run the Setup Manager to correct this problem.

How do I fix this problem?

It's possible your server will no longer let the calendar check this web site to see what the current version is. You may need to disable this feature.

I have corrected the paths error problem, but am still having trouble with upgrading the calendar to its newer version.

In System Information it states that the current calendar version is 6.3.19, and that there is an update available for 6.3.22. I have, in bold red text under Version Status: The installed version is NOT up to date!

In the past, I had to have had someone upload the files for me onto my server, and I'm not sure if that's the case now. I'm using WS_FTP Professional and it has the two ASCII/Binary transfer modes available as features, but I have followed the instructions from the online manual for maunal-installation, and still see that the version has not been updated.

Thanks much!

If the Setup Manager shows your installed version as 6.3.19, then you do indeed still have 6.3.19 installed.

If you'd like for me to take a look at your files, please open a support ticket and include your server information.

I experienced the exact same problem - after manual upgrade, Setup Manager still says The installed version is NOT up to date!

I was upgrading from 6.3.20 to 6.3.22.

I followed this upgrade instruction ( http://docs.easyphpcalendar.com/sour...de/Upgrade.htm ) :

Manual FTP:
  • Upload all of the files in the events, functions, images, setup and plugins directories to the server, overwriting the existing calendar files. Please make sure these files are uploaded in Binary mode.
  • Upload all of the files in the theme/system and languages directories in ASCII mode. Overwrite any existing files.
  • Upload the calendar.php, demo.php and demoBlog.php files to the main calendar directory in ASCII mode.
  • Run the Setup Manager to automatically update the file paths (or edit the paths manually if needed).

PROBLEM:
Uploaded the directories (instead of the files). For some reason, the files within the directories aren't properly uploaded. I am using WS FTP PRO.

SOLUTION:
Instead of uploading the directories, select all the files WITHIN the directories to upload to the corresponding directories on the server instead.

That's what I have done. I uploaded the individual files, not the directories themselves.

pr0grammerMX, can you open a support ticket with access information to the calendar files on your server?
