Default Test or Staging Subdomain Question

Team,

Your product looks like it is just what I'm looking for. I have a quick question. Our server www.domain.com uses a staging/test subdomain that we do all of our development with at test.domain.com. To accomplish this, will I need to buy two licenses, or do I need just one? I'm going to implement with MYSQL, if that makes any difference.

I did a look at subdomains, but none seemed to address this question. Only parked, or multiple Cals on multiple subdomains.

Thank You.

Quella

You can install the calendar on your staging server/domain. When you're ready to go live, if you do get a license key error, you will be presented with a form to request a new key for the new location.

Default How long does a request for key take?

We are considering using EasyPHPCalendar on a client site, but they too have a subdomain demo.sitename.com (currently on a new server where the site will be located after migration). We will shortly be migrating to the new site (www.sitename.com) and are wondering how long a request for a key will take. Is there a cost to the new key?

Thanks!

No cost. It will be issued within 24 hours, but usually within just a short period of time (depends on if I'm working or sleeping ).

Default Multiple Calendars on one domain?

Hi Folks,

Your product looks great and just what we're looking for.

Initially, we'd like to run one copy of your product on a sub-domain of ours. ie. we have www.domain.co.uk, we'd like to host the calendar on subdomain.domain.co.uk. From the postings above, I see that this is possible.

However, we may want to host more than one version of the calendar. Would we be able to do this under sub-domains. ie.

version1.domain.co.uk
version2.domain.co.uk

all hosted on the same server?

Cheers, Graham.

You would need a license for each instance (discounts available on the Buy Now page for multiple licenses).

Thanks Brian - not a problem re multiple licenses.

We were just concerned about multiple versions living on the same server.

Cheers, Graham.

No problem with multiple installs. The only thing to watch is if they are sharing a mySQL database connection, you may need to manually edit the config.inc.php file for each installation and modify the database name for each one.
