Default database setup

Hi
I am trying to add events to my calendar and it is asking to set up a database, what goes in the following fields....

database host:

database user name:

database password:

database name:

do I have to set up a database on the server, and if so how do I do that, sorry I am new to this?

You would need to contact your webhost to get this information. Also, your website control panel typically has an area to set up your database.

If you don't want to do that, use the file database version!

Only problem with using flat file database is for the future when V7 is released and you would happen to upgrade.

Unless Brian makes it so that you can upgrade easily.

Also MySQL will be faster, mostly as the calendar has more and more entries added to it.
