Default using the = sign in a url

When I use the = sign in a url for a calendar entry like in :
http://www.ancillatilia.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=124

The URl is converted to anything before the = sign and it ignores everything behind it like :
http://www.ancillatilia.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t

Is there a replacement for the = sign I am not aware of? Or is there something else here?

This is part of the XSS protection system. If trust everyone that is entering events, you can disable this feature in the Setup Manager.
