Default need a new license key for switching to a new domain

We got the "license key error" - running in limited mode - and we believe it is caused by us switching to a new domain name.

We then use the order number and email address to login to https://www.easyphpcalendar.com/clie...ense/index.php to get a new license key but saw this message saying that the old version must be removed before the new license key can work.

Our questions are:
1. what is the process/steps to remove the previous version of calendar from the server?
2. we really don't want to get a new version of the phpcalendar software because we are not sure if the new release won't break our existing codes. How can we get/install a license key without reinstall a new version of the phpcalendar software?

thanks.

1) Delete the calendar directory.

2) Copy the files from the old server to the new server (FTP them to your computer then back to the new server) then use the form to request a new license key.

But how are we going to put the original version of the calendar back if we delete the calendar directory?

Will the new license key only work with the newly released version of the phpcalendar?

Is the calendar and web site moving at all, or is it just a new domain name?

If it's the latter, just request a new license key.

It's just a new domain name.

Just want to confirm the process before we try it:

we use http://www.easyphpcalendar.com/clien...ense/index.php to request a license key and use the setup manager to install the new license key. Is this the correct process?

I would like to give you the background of the situation we are in.
We, www.taprootfoundation.org, helped a non-profit, www.visionliteracy.org, revamped their web site last year without realizing the kind of issues they would have today after the site went live.
During the development phase, we used a temporary domain name and our developer's email address for the event calendar implementation. After VL's IS person put the new site as the official site, the domain name got changed and the license key no longer works. Adding to that, our developer, who's off the project, kept on getting email notifications for the event calendar stuff.

A lot of companies give non-profit special help, i.e. free software and support, etc. I hope in the future you have a kind of license key for non-profits to make this process easier.

Thanks for the help. Once you confirm the process I described at the beginning of this posting is correct, we'll give it a try.

Thanks.
Irene

Just request a new license key. When processed, you'll receive instructions on how to proceed in an email (automated reply).

Wouldn't the email go to the old developer though?

If the original developer is no longer available, they would need to open a support ticket and request the licensed email address be updated. I would need to verify some information to do so.

The old developer is off the project but has been forwarding the phpcalendar emails to VL. We have all the info from the developer - receipt number, order number, etc. We plan to file a support ticket to get the email replaced after we get the license key error fixed. We are trying to get a confirmation from the non-profit's IS person to be sure they did not move the server or the files when switching the domain name.
