I downloaded and installed the trial version of Easy PHP Calendar. Navigated to link with the trial license key. After entering the key, I receive an error stating "Trial License Has Expired!"
We have installed the application on a Navy Classified webserver. Is that an issue with the license key not working? We want to test the calendar "Trial" before purchase. Also, is there a way to contact support via phone vice forum?
xxx.xxx.111.199 ~ Entire IP Classified. Sorry.
When the URL for the license key appeared on the Classified box, we transposed it over to the UNCLASSIFIED side to connect to your site via IE to receive the Key. Manually entered key on the Classified side (three times to verify).
The key generation algorithm uses your hostname and the IP of the server. You can't generate a key and then use it on a different server.
I'm sure Brian will have a solution for you though.

same problem here! I left the last step open, I did some phonecalls and when I refreshed it after half an hour, I got the same error message that my trial was ended! I installed it in my localhost. ( locally, apache on windows XP)
I transcribed the key wrong... put a "l" instead of a "1" in the key when I transcribed it. Not sure if that is your problem. If you can copy and paste, that's the best route. That was not an option in my case.
Trial can not be run in Limited Mode on a server set up as localhost.
Enter localhost as the license key to run the script in limited mode for testing.
The full licensed version doesn't have this restriction and can run on a local server.
You can assign a domain to your local machine and run the calendar through it, but without request personal information from you for a trial (which most would not do), there isn't a way to run the trial in full trial mode on localhost.
It WILL work, but will display a key error and only one event for any given month.
I am not sure that I understand you. You mean that its not possible to run the demo on localhost because I may turn it to an actual working domain and not pay the licence?
Is there anybody outhere that will make such a thing for $30?
Anyway, I think of something. in the meanwhile I'll wait for my "other" issues regarding this script.
Sorry, I was typing slower than I was thinking in my previous post...
If you want to run the trial on a localhost computer, you can, but only if the localhost computer is set up with a domain name and the calendar is accessed through that domain. This only affects the trial version, not the full paid version which will work on localhost. Otherwise, the trial will only work in limited mode.
Since the trial depends on a domain name and IP address, localhost is not unique (every server has this) so a trial key can't be issued for that address.
