Default Advanced Filter for Users

I've been looking to see if this is already posted with no luck. There is an advanced filtering header in the Event Manager (see attached images). Can I put that on my web pages or does it somehow require login and Event Manager? Does it require 3 pages to be built or Ajax...? I can edit CSS, but don't know what I'm doing, so would need simple "paste this whole thing here" instructions, such as you have in the tutorials. Thanks

The advance filter requires access to the event manager (you need to log in for it to store your search credentials).

Bummer. I guess I'll have to use ShowCat for crude version for end users. :-( Only my admins will have full filter and they don't need it, which is a shame. Great calendar BTW. Just starting using it, but love it overall. Isn't there some easy way to use cookies to store credentials or search terms?
