Default How long to v.7 ?

I just bought a new web server and would like to do a clean install of easyphpcalendar.

Of course my old server has the database stored in a flat file. So I would need to get them converted and transfered to v7.

When is v7 Coming? The suspense is killing me!

The long and short of it is that I have eye problems due to a sinus disease. Because of this disease, the muscles in my eyes are pulling my eyes inwards. Even with glasses having prism to try to correct this, my eyes and mind strain to produce a correct image. This leads me to being fatigued in a very short amount of time when I do things up close (such as programming on a computer).

So, I haven't been able to work on Version 7 like I would like...

However, I have been seeing specialists and doctors to find a solution to this issue. The past few weeks I have undergone many tests, physicals, interviews with a hospital, all to get ready to have a procedure done to correct my vision.

This Thursday (9-13-07), I will be put under and have surgery done to both of my eyes. Basically they will sever the muscles from the inside of both eyes and re-attach them further back on the eye to compensate for my condition.

There's an 80% chance this will work correctly with one surgery and I'll be good as new after fully healing. This should eliminate any fatigue I've been experiencing and release the pressure on my muscles so my eyes can perform correctly.

After recovery, I should be able to throw my glasses away and work on the computer for many hours on end, and finally, work on Version 7 that way I want to.

Sinuses and allergies have been an issue all of my life. I've had this problem for a while, but it has gotten progressively worse to the point that is it affecting my quality of life.

They say I should feel better than I have in a long time after this is over.

The procedure went well, and I am able to see. However, due to [expected] swelling and discharge, it still isn't easy to see clearly yet. It should be better in a few days.

THE ATTACHMENT IS NOT FOR THE FAINT OF HEART!

This is what my eyes currently look like. I just cleaned them up good and got most of the goo off of them. The parts that were cut on were on the inside towards my nose (which you can't really see in this photo).

Glad to hear the operation went well, it must be a great relief for you and your family. I'd suggest you take as long as you can to rest your eyes before heading back to the screen.

All the best

Thank you for your thoughts and well-wishes.

Today is the first day I've been able to open my eyes under my own power after sleeping. I think I'll be in good shape soon and can get back to a more normal life.

Hey Brian,

How is the recovery coming along....I saw on the 7.0 update it seems you have another procedure scheduled? Hope you have some great holidays and that in 2008 they get your sinus thing fixed.....hate to miss out out on your great code!

The eyes are doing much better still. I've been able to work at long lengths on the computer without much discomfort. Also, the allergist had put me on some meds that have been working well and may eliminate my need for sinus surgery. However, I will probably need to take them the rest of my life.

I'm working on some V6 tweaks and should release a new version in the near future. These same tweaks affect V7 too.

Hopefully early next year I'll be able to continue development of Version 7.
