Default Going to calendar, events and setup directories now triggers error

Hi there,

We've had the calendar installed for multiple clients for a few years now and everyone LOVES it.

I got a call from a client yesterday who is getting this error when trying to go to the calendar, Events or Setup:

"The file D:\PATH HERE\index.php has been encoded with the ionCube PHP Encoder and requires the free ioncube_loader_win_5.1.dll ionCube PHP Loader to be installed."

Any ideas? There have been no changes, and I am not sure which version we are running and cannot look, but we purchased it in April of 2006, and I do have an order number from that transaction if that would help.

Thanks, so very much, for your assistance.

Suzanne

Someone may have upgraded the version of PHP on the server requiring a more updated ionCube loader (www.ioncube.com/loaders). Or, the loaders that are there have become corrupt. Or, someone disabled the ability to use the ionCube loader on the server.

Brian, thanks so much for, always, your prompt reply.

--- No one has requested a Calendar upgrade, although we need to do that.

--- The PHP version has not changed.

--- No settings have been changed on the server.

--- The guy who manages this server did go and get the latest version of the ionCube loaded, but we are still having the same problem.

Will the older version of the calendar work with the new version of the ionCube loaded? Forgive my ignorance, I had never even heard of this until I found your calendar! ;-)

Thanks, so much.

Something had to have changed in order for this error to appear. FWIW, it's not a calendar error, it's a server error...

You may want to start by download and trying the tester script from the Free Download page again and see the results.

Since we can't provide support for server setup/configurations, you'll be best having your server tech contacting them directly at support@ioncube.com.

Brian, you were exactly right. The first time I asked had ANYTHING been changed on the server, they said no. They were trying to make things more secure, and had removed read-write permissions, and when corrected, all is working fine.

Thanks again, and I am so sorry to have bothered you with this!
