Default Integrating Calendar into Existing Site - 2 Questions

Hello,

We are looking to integrate the easyphp calendar into our social networking platform application. I have 2 questions. If we purchase the one license for the one domain, will we be able to use the code on a commercial/enterprise license level? In other words, we will be purchasing the license for one domain, but we have many users who will be using the calendar through our domain. So we would be giving our users the ability to access and utilize the calendar for their own use by logging into our site. Is this in accordance with your Terms of Use?

Secondly, what if we sell our site in the future with your calendar integrated into our framework? Is this allowable? We are not looking to re-brand your application and pass it off as ours. We just love your calendar app and think it would work great as feature on our site as a small, but highly useful feature for our user base. In other words, can we purchase this application with full, exclusive rights to its usage with no intention to re-brand and re-sell the standalone application?

When you get a moment, please respond.

Thanks!!!

Just wanted to post to say that someone looked at your post, but I don't have an answer for you. Brian will be back on the 23rd and he will have the definitive answer for you.

The calendar is licensed per domain, however it is also licensed per group/organization. Which basically means that if you have separate calendars for separate groups/organizations, you'll need a license for each. Think of it along the lines of needing a printed (regular) calendar for each group... you'd need a license for each one too.

You can transfer ownership of the calendar at any time.

Hi Brian,

Thank you for getting back to me so promptly! So I can clearly understand what you are implying, If I want to integrate the calendar into my social networking application (where the calendar will be used on one domain but x number of users), I would have to purchase a separate license for each user?

That doesnt seem palatable. In other words, If my small social networking application grows to 1,000 members in 12 months I would have to pay Nashtec $29,000 to use the calendar?

I apologize if I am not understanding you correctly. Please correct me if I am wrong. Essentially, in our case one calendar would be downloaded and accessed at one domain access point, but there will be x number of users utilizing the calendar app on the site. Is this acceptable with your Terms of Use?

Please let me know when you have moment.

Thanks!

You do know that with version 6 all users have full access to all events, and that there's a 20-user limit, right?

This version is definitlely not made for a large user-base installation... it's fine for lots of visitors, but only few event administrators.

If you have that many clients, we can work out a deal on the licenses.
