I successfully installed the calendar on the remote host. In the Setup Manager, I'm seeing the following error when I try to set up the database:
There was an error connecting to the mySQL database.
The error was reported as:
Lost connection to MySQL server during query
I've tried it several times and keep getting the same error.
I'm seeing a "Trial License Has Expired" message and I just installed the calendar. The only thing I can think of is I have several web sites on the same server and one of them already has the calendar.
The last question is license related. I'm redesigning the site. The current site resides in <root>/public_html/heather. The new one is in <root>/public_html/heather_new. I'm putting the calendar on heather_new. Once I'm ready to go live, I plan to rename heather to heather _old and heather_new to heather so the domain is pointing at the proper directory. My question is if I go ahead and buy the license now, will there be any issues when I make the switch?
The mySQL error is an a mySQL error. This is something that would need to be checked on the server side and triple-check the connection information in the calendar Setup Manager.
Open a support ticket with your trial license key from the Setup Manager and I can issue a new key for you.
There should be no issue with the license with a directory change. Just make sure to update the paths in the calendar.php file after the change.
