Default Moving from one domain to the other

I have a previous version of the calendar on a domain.

I am now going to install the latest software on a new domain.

I know how to transfer the license.

My questions are:

1. Will the config file work between the 2 versions of software.

2. My old calendar is in a flat file, but the new calendar I want to use a db - will my config file still work?

Well, it's been so long since I've worked with version 5 that I've forgotten everything about it... I don't think you want to carry forward your config... as for your database, there was a post (back in 2005) about a converter - http://www.easyphpcalendar.com/forum...ead.php?t=3166

You could open a support ticket, and maybe by chance, Brian might still have that converter around.

Its from a earlier version in 6. I now run the latest versiom

Then, My old calendar is in a flat file, but the new calendar I want to use a db - will my config file still work?

How do I get all my calendar data that I have set up into the SQL DB

Thanks

Ah! I did not know it was version 6. There is upgrade instructions available in the Online Docs, but it's basically backup your current install, erase your install (rename the folder is a quick way), install the new version, restore your customized files (theme, templates) and the config files (config.inc.php, license.php).

As for converting your flat-file database to the mySQL, you will need to send me your flat-file, and I will send you back a .sql file that you can import into the table. Use the link in my signature.
