Forum,

I have looked through the integration section of install and I am not getting this, though I am not a php programmer.

I need to have a default view that the general viewer cannot change or add anything, basically a default non users view to access the calendar.

I still need the ability to have admins (user/pass) that I give this access and power too but for most users just to see the calendar.

I have the ability to change/edit/add any link that would give me a default non updating calendar...

What you're describing is exactly the way the calendar is designed to be used.

Is there a particular page where you want the public calendar to appear and have you tried adding the integration code to it?

Thanks for the quick response:

Yes I would like the public calendar to look like the event manager without the ability for them to update just to view. If an admin wanted to update/edit/add they would have to login.

[link removed]

Here is the link but the the icon in the upper right hand side have the three icons for security (I cannot seem to get removed not matter if I change the attrib to 444 or 777), event manager, and logout.

I need to have a default view that is public only (the link can be anything) and the ability to update and have the public view be updated, hopefully I am putting into words correctly...

I can email you admin username and pass, you helped me last week and reuploaded the files on my server.

What is the link to the page for the public calendar?

I think that is my problem as I am confused:

I assumed to use [link removed]
but of course that does not work as a public view.

-Do I need to create a public view and if I do, how?
-If I need to create a link do I do that under calendar directory?
-Will the public calendar update from the event manager or will I have
to cut and paste or move files to reflect any updates...

That link actually redirects to [link removed]. You can edit this page if you like to change the calendar.

Or, create a new page in the main part of your web site and copy/paste the code from the Integration section of the instructions to your new page.

You also seem to have a path issue. (Your calendar has no formatting). Check out the Paths FAQ in my signature below.

Ok I got the demo.php to work but I am missing the framing.

I would like the demo.php to look exactly like the calendar/events/index.php file, can you assist...

Thanks

Then, look at the calendar/demoTOC.php file.

The event manager uses a combo of the multi-calendar generator and the list mode. But if you want it to look exactly like the event manager (blue side bars, header at the top, etc...), that's something else....

I've tried to make up what the page should be if you want the same look as the Event Manager... Simply upload the file in your /calendar folder.

Note that I have not tested this in any way and it could be completely "borked".

That worked but the format of the three calendar past, present, and future month have no formatting but it seems to have what I need.

Two things:
-No pictures/images on the pop up window.
-No formatting for the calendar months.

If you email me I will give you all the links and directory structure...

Thanks for your help...

Got your message with the link to your website... Change your theme in the Setup Manager to "default". Right now you have it set to "index.htm".

I'm actually surprised that it worked that well considering that I didn't test anything
