Default Highlight the day being viewed in blog mode, and list to blog selection

Hello,
I've taken over as webmaster for a website that uses Easy PHP calendar, and have been working to further integrate it into our site. One of the things I've been doing is to use the blog mode for a more interactive calendar experience, although I've run into a slight problem. I'd like to be able to highlight the currently-viewed day in the monthly calendar, corresponding to the day being shown in the list view below. If you'd like an example of this, please browse to http://www.kolhalev.org/calendar/interactive-calendar. While the current day is bolded, I'd like a border or background color change for the day (if not the current) being viewed.

Also, much of the navigation I'd like to do comes from a modified list view (from http://www.kolhalev.org). I've been able to get the mouseover popups working, but I'd really love to turn the titles into hyperlinks, of the format http://www.kolhalev.org/calendar/int...-calendar/?ev=[juliandaycount]&mo=[month]&yr=[year], in order to allow quick navigation from the landing page to the detailed view. Are there template modifications I can make to support this?

Many thanks!
Mike

The first part is not possible as that would require changing core code in the small calendar... which is encrypted.

The second one might (and that's one big might) be possible with the help of my Blog-List and/or RSS mod. There's no [ev] or [juliandaycount] placeholder available in the template system, so the whole thing would have to be recoded to provide you with that data to make the links as you described. It would be very extensive in the time/effort required to make this work, and it is likely that it would not be compatible (and possibly unnecessary) when version 7 comes out.

The next version, which will be release soon, will have the ev variable as a parser option.
